  • Preparing Artwork Files for Custom Rejectors
ARTWORK: Our customers have come to rely on our design team to bring their ideas to life. We do most artwork at no charge providing you are placing an order with us. However, if you are providing art and it needs recreated or if we have to spend a considerable amount of time on it, it will be billed at $45 per hour. We will let you know in advance if this is the case and give you an estimate of total time/cost. MADCAP Larosse will not be responsible for poor quality customization due to poor artwork. MADCAP Lacrosse is also not responsible for any misspelling or errors in your provided artwork. Preparing Files for Custom Shot Rejectors We accept files from both Mac and Windows platforms and most graphics software. Files can be saved in the following formats: .EPS - Encapsulated PostScript- of any type .PSD - Adobe PhotoShop .AI - Adobe Illustrator .PDF - Portable Document Format Have read below... if the below text leaves your head spinning, we are happy to help you out. If easier, you can select to purchase design assistance at the time of your order. Color While we can work with files in both RGB and CMYK colors mode, we do prefer to work with CMYK colors whenever possible. If you require PMS color matching, you must note that in your order and send us a hard copy proof for us to match against. When color is critical, please do not embed images or flatten the layers. Instead, leave the layers intact and link to any images. Maintain the same color mode throughout your work space (i.e. do not set up your document in CMYK color and then link or embed images that are in RGB colors if possible). Mixing color modes in the same document can produce unexpected results. Size and Resolution If possible, setup your document in proportion to your final output size and desired resolution at FINAL size. The design should be sized to desired printed specs. All files must be 300 DPI or Vector format. Text must be converted to outlines. Printing, stitching, and other printed items can only be as good as the artwork. Vector Files: are scalable without losing resolution so the artwork will not become pixilated and jagged when it's enlarged. We highly recommend using vector-based artwork whenever possible for optimum results. Raster Files: We recommend a resolution of 100 - 150 dpi at final size. This will make it easier to work with the files. Scaling: When scaling your raster-based files, keep in mind each time we need to double the size of your artwork, the resolution drops by half. Keep this in mind when creating your original artwork, as this is critical to getting the best print possible. Compression: Do not compress the files or use any type of compressed format, such as JPEG, unless that's the only option you have for your original images. Scanned Images If you must send a scanned image, please email use at madcaplacrosse@mail.com or call 404-500-7985 so we can discuss options. Submitting Your Files We accept files that are sent by e-mail (< 5 mb) or uploaded to our website with your orer If you email or upload your files to us, please include a PDF of the image you want printed so we can proof the PDF against your print files. Whenever possible send artwork as vector art, with all fonts saved in outline form. This allows for easy scaling and color corrections. Be sure to include all fonts used in your artwork if they have not been converted to outlined artwork. Questions? If you have questions on any of the above call 404-500-7985 and we'll gladly guide you through the process.
  • Will you send me a digital proof prior to producing my order?
PROOFING: All artwork will be approved by digital proof through email or by coming into the shop. Artwork must be checked for spelling, color, sizes ordered, placement/size of artwork, and overall accuracy by the customer. It is very important to look over every detail of your order, as this is exactly how it will be produced. We will not accept responsibility for corrections not implemented and/or requested after artwork approval. Any modification requested after customer approval will result in production delays and additional expenses for which the client will be invoiced for accordingly. Any delays in the approval process longer than 24 hours after proof was sent can/will result in production delays.
